There is always a confusion which exists in the difference between occupational therapist and a physiotherapist. Both profession share a number of common areas but they differ fundamentally as far as there goal and method of operation is concerned.
Occupational therapist tends to focus more on evaluating and improving person functional abilities. Their aim is to optimize a person’s independence and ability to carry out their daily activity while they are injured or having any physical impairment.
They are trained to modify work and home environment for a better quality of life, for which they perform onsite assessment of both work and home environment.
